Pregnancy Screening
Key Messages
· If you are pregnant, you will be offered screening for a range of conditions. This is to help you make decisions about your pregnancy, get earlier treatment, and prepare for the arrival of your baby.
· It is important to see a midwife as early as possible. Different screening tests can be offered during your pregnancy and some may be restricted to certain time constraints, also known as gestation. If your pregnancy is too far advanced by the time you see your midwife, you may not be able to be offered certain tests.
