Funding Opportunities
Public Health: Partial funding support for qualifications
A limited amount of funding has been made available to support a competitive process through which individuals can seek partial funding (up to 50%) when seeking to undertake a formal qualification. Applications are assessed and approved by a small panel, which is a subgroup of the Public Health Learning and Development Group. For more information please visit Learning and Development
Lloyds TSB Foundation
The Foundation has an ongoing commitment to investing in the Scottish community and like to support charities which enable people to play a fuller role in the community. They are keen to encourage a wide range of local charities to come and discuss their projects and make an application to the Foundation.

Voluntary Action Fund
Voluntary Action Fund (VAF) provides grants to, and works with voluntary organisations and community groups across Scotland.

Big Lottery Fund
The Big Lottery Fund is responsible for distributing 40% of all funds raised for good causes (about 11 pence of every pound spent on a Lottery ticket) by the National Lottery. The funding supports the aspirations of people who want to make life better for their communities.

The Bank of Scotland Foundation
The Bank of Scotland Foundation is an independent charity supporting people and their local communities across Scotland. The Foundation receives an annual donation of £2m from Lloyds Banking Group to fund their Grants Programmes and Matched Giving Programme.

The Peter De Haan Charitable Trust
Since 1999 The Trust has donated £18,963,000 to the benefit of over 520 organisations. Currently The Trust is targeting a significant proportion of its resources towards IdeasTap, the UK’s leading online hub for emerging creative people, UK wildlife trusts and community projects surrounding its South London offices. The Trust will not exist in perpetuity, as the founding Trustees planned for its reserves to be gradually spent over a 20 year period from its date of constitution. The Trust is not open to unsolicited applications.

Self Management IMPACT Fund
he Self Management IMPACT Fund is building upon the learning from the Self Management Fund and provides support to third sector organisations to develop their self management work over the period 2013/14 – 2015/16. The IMPACT Fund provides a unique opportunity for third sector organisations and partnerships to develop and strengthen new project ideas that support self management as well as building upon existing approaches.

The Lintel Trust
LintelTrust is an unendowed charitable trust that works with voluntary organisations and local communities throughout Scotland to help provide solutions for people in housing need. LinetelTrust awards grants to community and voluntary organisations for housing –related projects

Wakeham Trust
The Wakeham Trust provides grants to help people rebuild their communities. The Trust is particularly interested in neighbourhood projects, community arts projects, projects involving community service by young people, or projects set up by those who are socially excluded. The Trust also supports innovative projects to promote excellence in teaching (at any level, from primary schools to universities), though we never support individuals.

The People’s Postcode Trust
People’s Postcode Trust is a charity registered in Scotland, No. SC040387 and is a company limited by guarantee (356549). It is a grant giving Trust, awarding funding to good causes that support a better world for people and planet. Their funding programmes include; Small Grants Programme and The Dream Fund.

The Greggs Foundation
Local Community Projects Funding is offered to organisations supporting people in need. Any not for profit organisation can apply, however, larger organisations with a turnover in excess of £300,000 are unlikely to be successful.
