Quit Your Way Service
Summary
NHS Grampians stop smoking service now operates under the national branding of Quit Your Way and has also merged with the NHS Grampian healthpoint service. This means that advisors are able to speak to people about a range of health issues they may have including healthy weight, physical activity, alcohol and stress.
Support is tailored to an individual’s needs and a smoker can receive:
- One to one support – An advisor will see them face to face on a one to one basis.
If they are housebound, an advisor may be able to visit them in their home.
- Telephone support – Clients will receive support over the telephone from an advisor if they prefer.
Support is free, local and confidential.
Where appropriate clients may receive advice and access to free stop smoking medications such as Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) or Champix on prescription.
The service will also see clients who are dual using tobacco and electronic cigarettes / vaping devices
Smokers can also visit their local community pharmacy without an appointment and receive support as well as access to free stop smoking medications such as Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) or Champix on prescription.

Aberdeen Health Village, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Aberdeen Maternity Hospital, Royal Cornhill Hospital, Dr Grays Hospital.
