Who are we?
Membership of the group includes representatives from the following: specialist palliative and end of life care services, other relevant clinical areas, health and social care partnerships, relevant voluntary/private organisations with a means of engaging with service users, relatives/carers and communities.
What do we do?
The role of the Strategic Advisory Group is to provide a forum of expertise which can be a source of advice and support in the development and delivery of high quality palliative and end of life care.
What are our priorities
- To provide high-level strategic guidance to the Grampian health and care system including oversight of the Palliative and End of Life Care Strategy.
- To scrutinise and advise on performance indicators.
- To progress work on priority issues identified across Grampian.
- To ensure a coherent and equitable approach is taken to the development of palliative and end of life care services across Grampian, taking account of local regional and national priorities.
- To agree and review annual workplan and other networks/services.
- To review and propose appropriate quality indicators for each area within the Grampian system to monitor.
