Vape/Tobacco data for Aberdeenshire Education
The research carried out in 3 stages:
· Stage 1: June – September 2023. An online survey to 147 Primary and 17 Secondary School Staff (Head of Schools) asking questions about current situation on vaping and Smoking amongst school pupils (link to survey questions and Findings) Impact of Vaping in Aberdeenshire Primary Schools & Impact of Vaping in Aberdeenshire Secondary Schools
· Stage 2: February – March 2024. An online survey to Secondary school pupils ONLY. This survey asks questions on several key smoking and vaping topics, including awareness of smoking and vaping; use of vapes; factors that influence vaping and smoking behaviour; the accessibility of cigarettes and vapes and health and safety issues. · Stage 3: March – July 2024. An online survey to parents, carer’s, and guardians of school pupils’ Primary year 5 to Secondary year 6. Questions asked about awareness, knowledge, and perception about young people smoking/vaping. (Link to survey questions and findings) Parents Vaping Survey
