JSNA Process
The JSNA process is an ongoing (and often an iterative process) lead by local councils and Health & Social Care partners, and Strategic Planning and Commissioning groups on behalf of the Integration Joint Boards, with public health input and oversight provided by local boards. This process (summarised in figure 3 below) involves evaluation of a suite of information from a range of sources including both quantitative and qualitative information. More detail on what types of information which should be considered when undertaking a JSNA is discussed below in section x.
JSNAs provide important information and intelligence to inform the future needs and identify public health challenges as the population demographic and health status changes over time.
