Publication and sharing of JSNA findings

The key output of the JSNA evaluation is a summary which describes the data considered as part of the assessment, the key findings in relation to the health and wellbeing of the local population, interpretation of what this information means in public health and service provision terms, and what needs to be done to make sure that the local service provision meets the population. This summary may be presented in a single report, or a suite of reports with figures and tables.

As outlined in the current Scottish Government Commissioning guidelines, the format of JSNAs are left to local discretion so there are no mandatory templates or datasets that must be used and neither is there one single method of creating them. In Grampian this has led to the format and content of JSNAs differing across the 3 localities. To ensure consistency in the format and content of JSNAs a JSNA template has been developed (see annex x).
